September 8, 1998
Tangent Solutions, Inc. was founded and leveraged on POS Terminal rental as a business.
July 1997
The infamous Asian Financial Crisis hit, and where the soon to be founder saw an opportunity.
July 1999
Tangent Solutions, Inc. opened our first office unit in Tektite Tower, which is still being used to this day.
October 1999
First investment in POS terminals with 500 units of Verifone Omni395 with P900 printers to first account, AB Card Corporation.
2000-2004
These years saw the rapid expansion of Tangent as we onboarded notable clients such as UnionBank, Ayala Malls, Petron, and Security Bank Card Corporation (formerly Diners).
2005

February 2006
Established Merchant Express as Tangent’s affiliate company with focus on providing payment solutions and services to merchants and retailers.
April 2005
Tangent implements the first multi-application POS terminal (payment, loyalty, e-raffle, e-load)
in partnership with Foods Corporation.
April 2006
In partnership with Globe & Ingenico, Tangent launches the first mobile POS terminal in the Philippines.
2006
Tangent entered into the pharmaceutical marketspace through
with its program, ValueHealth.
2007
Tangent’s Vision and Mission were established.
The pursuit to becoming the top-of-mind payment
solutions partner in the Philippines began.
2008
Tangent invested into global standards through its certification with the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System program.
2008
Tangent receives its first international award from Ingenico for our ‘Outstanding Achievement in Vertical Market'
2009
Tangent became ’s

and patient compliance programs.
October 2010
Tangent reaches 100 employees!
December 2010
Began a yearly tradition of celebrating Paskong Kutitap (Twinkling Christmas) with local orphanage homes.
May 2011
Began a yearly tradition of engaging with public schools for Balik Eskwela (Back to School).
2012
Launched the Philippines’ first DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion) service for a major bank acquirer and in partnership with
